What is it?: it's a bottle stopper for champagne or wine
Cost: £9.99
Does it work? Yes
Would I buy it again? Yes, but I reckon this one will last me a while as it's quite well made!
Other options?: there are other sellers of the same product to the one that I got this from, plus other bottle stoppers out there...I have another one that you use a contraption to suck the air out of the bottle, but it's no where near as good as this one!
Where to buy: I got mine from Amazon
I am really impressed by this little thing! It's easy to use and really keeps the bubbles going in your bottle of fizz! Here's the five days of using it on one bottle of champagne:
Day 1 - bottle just opened:
Day 2:
Day 3:
Day 4:
Day 5:
Honestly, the most difficult thing about reviewing this product was limiting myself to one glass of champagne a night across five days!
It does, however, have a pop when you take it off, similar to the champagne cork pop, so be aware of that! It scared the hell out of me the first night! And my dog did a runner!!
Also, the champagne fizz dissipates each time you take the stopper off, so I tested it another time in pouring out 5 glasses across 2 days and by the 5th glass it was at the same stage as the day 5 video above. So basically, make sure you drink the last glass pretty quickly after glass number 4!
This would be perfect as a gift for the person who has everything, for someone you don't know very well, a secret santa or a stocking filler.
It comes in a plastic bag, so if you're buying it as a gift you may want to get a little box to put it in to make it look more presentable...other than that, I have no complaints at all! It does what it's supposed to, and it does it better than other options, so bonus all round really!
With love
Rebecca
